Hello Voices for Virtue!
I am Liz Stay from Utah and I have a small story for you about my personal experience on being virtuous and choosing the right.
The other day one of my teachers decided to show a PG-13 movie without parent consent. My parents told me I wasn’t allowed to watch a PG-13 yet. I’m 12. I was tossing the decision in my mind over and over and finally I decided I should not watch it. Right before the movie started I raised my hand. I told him that I was not allowed to watch PG-13 movies yet and that I would not like to stay for the movie. To my surprise 6 other hands popped up and said they were not allowed to watch the movie. Later that day a girl congratulated me and told me she would have never had the courage to leave if I hadn’t stood up. That just shows that when one person stands up it may lead to others standing up too.
I am a daughter and a wife. I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints. I am no writer, but I wish to inspire other people by sharing my thoughts, ideas and some of my life's day to day experiences and the lessons that I have learned from great people around me,and lessons that I will still be learning in this beautiful life as I strive my best for my personal growth and progress.
