Shortcut to Happiness - Service

It was said that there is no short cut to happiness and for some time I believed it. Well yeah there are so much hate, violence, poverty, crime and all these sad stuff we see and hear from the news and internet. And true enough it seems like it really is a challenge to be happy. But here’s the catch, there is a short cut to happiness. Serve others! I will not write a whole lot of stuff proving my theory, I’ll just say go and serve. If you’re a believer in God, go serve Him first, then your family and your community afterwards. You will come to know that serving others really is the short cut to happiness.

Cheers!

“Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others…By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves.”

Gordon B. Hinckley

Happiest People

Featured on this post is my friend Rosson Shumway of Skate Arriba together with some of his friends all from the US as they helped in cleaning the communities and feeding the children in Tacloban, one of the most devastated place in the Philippines by Typhoon Haiayan.
