Gross and creepy - that’s how some people see insects. Well after seeing this video you might look at them the same way. It will give you the creeps. What you are about to see is called inflation of androconial organs in male moth. The moth uses them to attract females by releasing pheromones - a pheromone is a chemical an animal produces which changes the behavior of another animal of the same species (animals include insects). The organ consists of inflatable tubes at the tip of the abdomen and sounds like a stadium trumpet.
