Stretch Yourself and Embrace Changes
Stretching for a person is so important, so many people do not stretch themselves outside of their current situations and so they never know it and when they do, stretching will always feel good. When you stretch outside your boundaries you get expose to new ways of thinking, you get expose to new life principles that you can add new experiences and new confidence. When you realize what is out there you will be thankful that you went out.
Part of stretching one’s self is by adapting to changes. There are those that are scared of what the future holds, don’t join them but instead embrace changes. These people feel like “I know what’s going on here now” even though everything that is around them could be changing, they don’t want to change and so they are left behind and remain where they are.
Successful people embrace Change, they are ever learning, stretching themselves and thereby having a much greater chance of remaining relevant in this increasingly competitive world in which we all must live.
Hey Rambo! It was a pleasure swapping Tweets with you today!
I love this post - I think stretching beyond your comfort zone is really important and the only way to really see what’s out there. One of my favorite quotes is, “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”, and it seems to really apply here in your message too.
Also, I’ve read Who Moved My Cheese - I highly recommend it, it’s a really short but powerful read. Cheers and all the best to you!
Thanks Pat yeah I do believe that life begins outside our comfort zones. We’ll never know until we try. A common pattern for many is to READY, AIM & FIRE and there is nothing wrong with it, however, sometimes in life we just have to FIRE first and we AIM along the way.. This is the part where it gets exciting.
Again thanks for dropping by Pat
Love the word “embrace” Rambo! My favorite definition is this: “To take up willingly or eagerly.” The big question to ask ourselves is are we willing and eager to take up change, or do we grumble about it and begrudgingly accept it?
True Brent very true!
Nice post and very shareable! This is a good point to ponder on especially when you’re in the freelance industry. We need to adapt every now and then to make sure our skills and knowledge are always in line with the developments of our niches especially on the tech and internet aspects. If not and we just become comfortable with what we know and what we can currently do, then we lost our chance of moving further up our career ladder.
Right on Jovelle!
