Using photos on your blog posts and articles is fundamental in keeping your readers awake and attentive. High quality photos will make your readers enjoy the travel she is making within your posts. You can either use your camera or your creative mind in producing these types of photos. However, if you do not have the skill in shooting good photos why not grab some of the free ones on the internet instead. I am not talking about using photos and images owned by other bloggers and website owners, Stock Photos is what I meant here.
Stock photos are generally for commercial use, meaning you can use it in whatever way you like without being sued. To save you some $$ I have gathered here a list of free Stock Photo Websites.
Stock.xchng is the first on on my list since I personally use it aside from my own shoots. Browse their gallery and be amazed to see over 35000 of high quality stock photos. You can also share your photos as a your way of paying back so that others can use them as well. It only takes a few minutes to create an account.
Flickr comes next to mind as this is one of the most popular photo sharing sites on the net. Just make sure you only download non-copyright images. To better help you here are the steps:
- Do an advanced search and in the new page tick “
and ““ - Then hit “Search” again.
Public-Domain-Photos.com has over half a million free photos for both personal and commercial use.
StockVault has a very large selection of free stock photos but for non commercial use.
Free Pixels offers free stock photos for both personal and commercial use.
FreeFoto.com has one of the largest collections of free photographs for non-commercial use on the Internet.
Freestockphotos.com is the site to visit if you are specifically looking for images of outdoor recreation, nature, wildlife, landscape, and cityscape for commercial or personal use.
I would love to know more similar free stock photo websites that you already know by adding them in the comment section below.
