With my enthusiasm for the principle of personal growth plus this artist within me, I came to love the process of making inspirational quotes coupled with good graphics, colors and fonts. What made it more exciting is as a Virtual Assistant I offer this service to my clients who are into social media marketing and so I make a some money from doing it.

You’ve seen a lot (or probably saved some) of these inspirational graphics posted on social media sites and can’t help but share them to everyone. There might even be times when you caught yourself nodding in agreement with these quotes and really get inspired by them. The problem though is it becomes the end of the story, you “get inspired” and move along.
Unless you act upon these inspiring quotes then they’ll be just plain words that are beautifully arranged atop of a good photo. A line must be drawn as to when we are to keep on making and sharing these graphics to actually applying them. It is in the application and actually doing it that things make more sense. It is in trying that we will truly learn.
Meet Johnny
I came across an article about a n Irish man in his early 30’s making a living while at the same time is traveling around the world. The guy’s name is Johnny Ward. According to the article, Johnny was once employed to an Australian firm. Although being compensated with a fairly good amount of income, Johnny felt that he wanted to do more, not more money but do more with his life. After figuring out what he really wants and with enough cash, Johnny resigned from his day job and started travelling.
During the infancy of his nomad life, Johnny was not yet a techy kind-of-guy. In fact, simply recovering his forgotten Facebook password is a tedious task for him. But with the “just do it” attitude and with intention to document his travel, he managed to start a blog. As he filled his blog One Step 4 Ward with his travel stories it started attracting visitors. The next thing he he knew was advertisers contacting him. His first income was $80 in an exchange for an ad that was placed on his blog.
In 2012 Johnny and four of his online associates started a company that offers Web Design and SEO services called Step4Ward Media“. And for the last three years of its operation, today 2015, they have already earned their first million (USD).
Had he not “done” it.
Johnny is not successful today, enjoying life as a traveler while making a living had he not “done” it. Starting a web design company has never been part of the plan, it just became apparent to him along the process of actually “doing it”.
Like Johnny, you too can live a better life with meaning and a more compelling purpose if you will but act. Get more out of life. Go on and be “inspired” by these inspiring quotes but more importantly apply them.
