5 Places to Put Your Logo to Brand Your Business
While words are effective tools for disseminating information, pictures are always the better options because words don’t actually exist in our brains. When we read words, we actually see them as pictures said Richard Meyer, author of Multimedia Learning. This is why you also need pictures in order to establish your brand. And as a brand, the most important picture you need to do just that is a logo.
Logo lets you establish your identity. Just take for example multi-million dollar brands, such as Nike. When I see a check mark on a pair of athletic shoes, I immediately think it is Nike. Their logo became their identity. However, simply creating your brand logo is not enough to establish your brand. You need to know how to use your logo quite effectively so that when people see it, they will automatically associate it with your business.
I compiled here a list of places to put your logo to better ingrain your brand to people’s memories:
1. Websites and Blogs
Your website or blog will serve as the “home” of your business online. This is where you put all your products, services, contents, and other transactions. It is also a good place for you to put your brand logo. Make your logo prominent enough so visitors browsing through your site will see at a glance. It will much better if your website is designed to show your logo on every single page.

2. Letters and Emails
As entrepreneurs, we communicate with various people on a daily basis, whether with our clients, partners, or potential customers. Why not take advantage of this opportunity and propagate your brand by putting your logo in every email you sent? You can strategically put your logo as your email account’s avatar and in your signature.
If you’re using gMail, you can do it by going to Settings > General > Signature (see images below)
3. Social Media Accounts
People crowd on Social Media and are ready to immerse themselves to any contents out there. With social media giants having monthly active users of more than 1 billion, these are the best places to spread about your brand. Make sure that all your social media accounts include your business name and logo. You should also explain clearly what your brand is about. With every post, you can display your brand logo for the world to see.
4. Banners and Signs
People are exposed to hundreds of ads for an hour of commute. The longer someone stays outside, the more ads he or she sees on a daily basis. Take advantage of human’s nature of being a visual creature. If you happen to have a physical business office, you can put your logo on banners and signs and hang them around your place. Make sure though that logo is clear and big enough to be noticed.
5. Business Cards
You might say who uses business cards in 2018? You might be surprised that many still are. In specific countries and cultures, such as Japan and South Korea, it is still the norm to exchange business cards. Should you decide to use a business card, putting your logo there is a must.
These are just some of the places where you can put your logo on. Be mindful though with your advertising, do not overdo your it so that people will not feel you are spamming them with many unwanted contents. Keep your cool and display your brand logo loud and clear.
