Common SEO Mistakes
Let’s get down to the business.
Here are the 3 Common SEO Mistakes You Should Avoid
- Using Duplicate Content – Stealing content from other website is a very BIG mistake. Search engines are all about content, they use bots or “spiders” to crawl on every websites to check what the website is all about. They have the technology to identify whether a website’s content is original or copied from somewhere else . Do your best to produce fresh and unique contents to please the search engines and at the same time keep them informative for your readers.
- Too much Flash and Scripts – Refrain from using excessive flash and scripts on your website. Though flashes make your website look attractive and elegant, the search engine spiders doesn’t have a clue what the website is all about because there is not enough content for them to crawl and index.
Not using ALT Tags – Search engine crawlers cannot read images (and flashes). So it is your obligation to help the crawlers understand what the images you are using are all about. You do this by putting ALT tags on your images. ALT tags are used to describe the images that are used on pages. Learn here on how to put an ALT tag on an image. Try to incorporate these labels every-time you use images on your website or blog. The best way to do it is to use your targeted keywords or key phrases in these tags.
This is all for now. Avoid these three common SEO mistakes and you are good to go about hitting the 1st page of Google and start making business.
