Messenger Room from Facebook – Quick Tutorial on How to Use it
Due to the spike of people using conference call services like Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet.. facebook recently just launched Messenger Room
According to TechCrunch, Messenger Room supports up to 50 participants with no time limits on call length
Now that’s an advantage compared to Zoom’s free account that only allows you to do up to 40 minutes conference call.
So here’s how to use it and its features:
Go to your messenger
Click this camera icon (next to the gear icon)
Join
Now from here you have the usual share screen like in Zoom and other conference calling services, like the mic and camera.

And as a host of the room you have the option to remove attendees.
Now in my opinion, the only thing that will make this better right now is the ability to mute participants. Perhaps this is something Facebook is already developing.
To invite people simply click the avatars icon (see call participants) and grab the invitation link then share it with others.

That’s it! I hope that you found this tutorial helpful. Go take the new Messenger Room a spin. Let me know if you have questions in the comment section below.
