The term HELP MEET is way far from SLAVE. The Hebrew meaning of the phrase “help meet” in the scriptures is simply “one who helps.” God designed the husband for a specific purpose and the wife for a separate specific purpose.

Many women fear or ruin marriages by being afraid to “submit”. Submitting does not denote becoming second class, second rate or secondary period. A godly man that desires to go to heaven does not take a wife to treat her as a maid, cook, concubine or baby factory. A godly man recognizes his wife as a gift from God, taken out of him and will not hate his own flesh. For both husbands and wife are equal in the sight of Him that created them.
Likewise, many men have murdered marriages by not truly leading the household, by not partaking in the rearing of the children and also not loving his wife like Christ loved the church. It’s sad when men want the title, but not the work. Just being a MALE does not make us head of the house alone. Not wishing to play a part in our family’s life that will lead them from earth to glory means that we also have abandoned the right to beat on our chest and say “I’m the head of the house”. Don’t block our blessings.
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
